Who We Are
Hartman Arms Co. is a federally licensed firearms dealer located in Bremen, Indiana. We specialize in handguns, rifles, shotguns, and NFA items — serving hunters, competitive shooters, collectors, and responsible gun owners across the region.
We believe in doing business the right way: every transfer is handled by the book, every customer leaves informed, and every firearm we sell meets our standards for quality and value. Whether you're a first-time buyer or a seasoned enthusiast, we take the time to get it right.

FFL Transfers & Licensing
As a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL), Hartman Arms Co. is authorized by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to deal in firearms. Here's what that means for you:
Every Transfer Is Documented
All firearm purchases — in-store and online transfers — require a completed ATF Form 4473 and a NICS background check. No exceptions.
Online Purchases & Transfers
Buying a firearm online from another dealer? We can receive it on your behalf. Contact us to arrange an FFL transfer. Standard transfer fees apply.
NFA Items
We handle Class III / NFA items including suppressors, short-barreled rifles, and other regulated items. NFA transfers require ATF Form 4 approval and a $200 tax stamp. Allow 6–12 months for processing.
Age Requirements
You must be 21 or older to purchase a handgun. You must be 18 or older to purchase a long gun (rifle or shotgun). Valid government-issued photo ID is required for all purchases.
Safety Policy
Safe, responsible firearm ownership is something we take seriously. We encourage every customer to follow these principles:
Treat every firearm as if it is loaded at all times.
Never point a firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy.
Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have made the decision to shoot.
Know your target and what is beyond it.
Store firearms securely, unloaded, and separate from ammunition when not in use.
Never handle a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
We recommend all new firearm owners complete a certified safety course. Contact us for local training resources.
